It must be a family nickname. He worked TBN and STL that I know of. He was one of the nicest guys to work with - quiet, courteous and a damned good ops agent. -Jake Lamkins (6/9/06) Sure sorry to hear about Logan. He was a buddy of mine. -Roy Schreder (6/12/06) A L WILMOTH Seniority date as a station agent 3/06/61 On the 1/1/86 FL/ALEA seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (6/23/06) Worked with him at STL station for several years. We all called him 'Hogan' like the TV show. Always had a smile for you and what a wit. After awhile he bid senior agent. AA shared that small center concourse at STL and had so many flts they borrowed one of our gates routinely. There was this one time they had a 727-200 on our gate and a 580 was on the deck. We called AA and they more or less told us it would be out when it got out. Well that's just how it happened. Logan made a command decision and parked that 580 nose to tail to that 727. AA's flt departed AFTER our Convair. AA sent over apologies, sandwiches, pastries etc. There wasn't anyone that didn't like Logan. He left STL and opened up LEX which was alot closer to West Virginia. On the personal side, he liked to work on cars. He would buy a good looking crappy running car. Then fix it up nice, drive it awhile and sell it. He bought a beautiful Ford Country Squire wagon with the fake wood trim. He rebuilt the automatic transmission himself. Quite an impressive feat I thought. He especially liked the air cooled VWs. Last one I remember was a really nice 9 pax VW bus. -Chuck Tisckos (6/24/06) ANTHONY L WILMOTH Born 27 Apr 1937 Died 06 Jun 2006 Age 69 At 25266 (Newton, Roane, WV) SSN issued in West Virginia -SSDI (12/6/09) Posted at the FL Club Updated memorial webpage LOGAN WILMOTH 1961 - 1986 STATION AGENT, SENIOR STATION AGENT TBN STL LEX http://OR2.tripod. com/Logan_ Wilmoth.html I found 7 more items about Logan. FL was loaded with folks like Logan; hard working, dedicated, conscientious, and with aspects you never would have guessed. I knew Logan in STL 1968-70 when I was a senior agent and he worked ops and there was no better. All hell could break loose on the ramp with last minutes additions, breakdown in communications, traffic jams on the gates with TW and AA, whatever it was; when you called for the load papers they were there on time and without fail and they were right. That was Logan! -Jake Lamkins (12/6/09)
