RON FARQUER PILOT DEN Ron Farquar, I believe fell asleep in his car with the motor running in his garage and left us. -Clyde Hart (11/26/99) You may want to know that Ernie and Marilee Lingren were terrific during the terrible times in 1985-1986. They were in charge of our Family Awareness Program. There can not be enough said for what they did for the Frontier Family. In fact, they should be thought of as hero's to the pilots families. A more caring couple will be hard to find anywhere. Duane Dillard was born 12-31-1941. He was hired by Frontier on 5-14-1973. His adjusted seniority date was 9-14-73. He was Furloughed on 1-1-74 and recalled on 5-1-74. His death was on 11-19-1974. When I sent you the list of names with the initial "D," Duane's name didn't register. I am sad to think I had forgotten him. Thanks to Ernie, I doubt I will now. In fact, I will go thru my list and give you and Ace the names and dates of those I have in case someone else is missed... Since I am sure anyone hired before 1968, I will start with Jim Rimer hired 4-29-68 and died from a heart attack on 11-28-83. Jim was born 10-18-34. Ron Farquer 5-27-68, Adj 4-16-71, born 6-29-42, died 1-13-84 (asphyxiation). Dale Glen 5-3-73 10-3-73, 10-12-42 1-18-78 (DHC6 PUB) John Deahl 7-1-74 12-9-74 12-21-44 4-9-81 (P38 crash) Denny Meyer 1-3-78 1-3-78 12-7-43 1-18-78 (DHC6 PUB) D.E. Klock 5-1-78 5-1-78 10-30-45 2-28-79 I am not sure when this list was constructed, but I would think in 1986. So, unfortunately, there have been other "Gone West's" since. Hope this is helpful. Blue Skies & Tailwinds... -Billy Walker (9/12/03) My father was Ronald L. Farquer. He passed away in 1984 as a B-737 captain, but came up through the ranks as a DH6 copilot. thought I'd check in and see who is still around. -Byron Farquer (4/28/04) Hi Byron, I'll send you an invite to the FL Club right away. Over 430 members - lots of pilots who probably knew your dad. Do you have a head shot type photo of him that you could email me? We are building up an obituary website for Frontier folks and I have little info on your dad. An obituary would be helpful too. We also have a newsletter - if you'd like one, let me know. -Jake Lamkins (4/28/04) RONALD FARQUER Born 29 Jun 1942 Died Jan 1984 Age 41 SSN issued in Arizona -SSDI (4/28/04) Ron is my brother. Was surfing the www and found your sight. If any additional information on Ron would be helpful, please contact me. Ron's son Byron Farquer can also furnish any info: Very nice touch.....to remember those that help build the airlines. -Russell W. Farquer (8/17/06) Hi Rus, Great hearing from you. I could use any additional info on Ron you would like to post. I especially need a photo for his webpage. A head and shoulder shot would be best but anything will work. And an obituary would be good to have. I had an email from Byron 4/28/04 but he never responded to my answer. Hope to hear from you. -Jake Lamkins, Frontier 1964-86 (8/17/06) R L FARQUER Seniority date of 5/27/68 per the 9/1/81 FL/ALPA seniority list. -Jake Lamkins (8/17/06) I was close in memory to my dad Tuesday as I shot an ILS approach in my A36 Bonanza (N364BF) into Santa Rosa, California (KSTS). I had a business meeting there and descended through a solid overcast to a successful landing on runway 32. What a great feeling to break out a few hundred feet above the earth on centerline. It was helpful to feel a warm presence in the right seat. To all that have sat the right seat, moved from right to left, and then beyond the cockpit, may your landings always be soft and sure. -Byron Farquer (8/17/06)
